The location was simply perfect. We didn’t use trains or taxis in Kyoto, as most places were easily accessible on foot. We only took a bus to some distant locations. I particularly enjoyed the balcony, which offered a view of the surroundings from the window and good room lighting. The room was exceptionally clean, equipped with a humidifying air cleaner and a quiet air conditioner. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Most of the time, there’s no one at the reception, but the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Great location, cosy room and easy check in/out. The couple who run the place were welcoming and let me store my bags after checkout which was appreciated. The room was comfortable, great firm bed and soft bedding, slept well every night! The actual space in the room is small but that wasn’t a problem for me. The balcony wasn’t really functional for sitting out on but nice to open the sliding doors. It’s a quiet area which was perfect and I loved walking around the neighbourhood and enjoyed a few local eateries and went to the nearby sento. It’s also walking distance to the main touristy areas and markets. I didn’t use the trains/buses much as I rented a bike (you can park outside) but there are plenty of stations and stops nearby.

During my stay at Yukari Kyoto, I loved the way it perfectly combined traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comforts. The peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a sanctuary, allowing me to unwind and fully immerse myself in Kyoto’s culture. The staff’s attentiveness and the beautiful views added to the experience, and being so close to Kyoto’s stunning temples and gardens made exploring easy and enjoyable. It was truly a memorable stay.🩵

This hotel was a real surprise find when I was looking for hotels in Kyoto, great value for a comfortable room a short walk away from the city centre! Very clean with great bathroom, very comfortable stay and very happy with my time there.

The couple who run the guest house are so helpful and friendly and did everything to make our stay wonderful. The room (for a family of 4) was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The area is quiet but is walkable to many restaurants and other places of interest. We were able to leave our luggage in the room after checkout, and the staff took the luggage to their storeroom, which we were then able to pick up later. I would definitely stay here again!

We only spent a single night at this guesthouse but we were quite happy. It's quite close to the hotspots of Kyoto. You can easily walk to the Gion district. The room was clean and had anything you need for a stay. The staff was really friendly and helpful!

The room was very comfortable and we really liked the traditional little table (chabutai) and the seats with no legs (zabuton)! The floor had tatami. It had a really nice feel to it. We slept in actual beds, very comfortable too. The bathroom was great, hot water with a lot of pressure. Smart toilet, very cool. The location was 15min to the center by foot.

The room was stylish and cute, we had a tatami area and a small Japanese garden outside. All the furniture was well maintained and the most important the place was super clean. The guest house is perfectly located: you can enjoy calmness of small Kyoto streets and it is just 20 minutes walk to the Nishiki Market area full of hustle and bustle. The staff was very friendly and helped to make our time in Kyoto amazing.

Good customer service as the staff direct us to the nearest laundry service. They gave us a quick tutorial using the drying and washing machine. The room gives off an authentic and japan vibe because of the style of the room. The room is clean and nice and well-maintained. It is located near the famous streets of central Kyoto. It's convenient and accessible to different location.
